Are We All Unwitting Subjects of a Huge Experiment?
ByI didn’t want to be writing this at all. But something happened recently that is of such concern, not only to me but to just about every person in the developed world, that I had to say something.
What happened: the gas company came by and told my husband, who was out doing gardening, that they were going to change out the gas meter as part of their “Meter Modernization Program.” They gave him a flyer that told all about this program.
My husband, who struggles with memory issues, did not connect this with my rants about “smart meters.” “They did not call it a smart meter,” he said. (Memory loss, fatigue, sleep disturbances, brain fog/difficulty concentrating, light sensitivity, anxiety are some of the symptoms the Austrian Medical Association call telltale signs of EMF overexposure. My husband already has these. You can perhaps understand my concern about exposing him to yet more EMFs, when we’ve been doing so much to limit exposure.)
By the time I got outside, the gas company installers were just finishing putting the new meter on. I said, “Take it off! I do not want this.”
“It’s too late,” the woman said smugly. “We already put it on, and can’t take it off. Besides, he gave permission,” pointing to my husband.
I asked her if she knew that what the frequencies from the device do to human cells. “Oh, it’s just like your cell phone,” she said. “There’s this little antenna on the meter, and it sends signals every 4-6 hours to the tower–“
“Exactly,” I said. “You have just described what electomagnetic frequencies are. But do you have any idea what they might be doing to the cells of our bodies?”
“I’m sure they wouldn’t let us do anything dangerous,” she said.
“Really?” I said, looking at her pointedly.
She didn’t say anything, but I knew that she was thinking about the company and knew in her heart the truth about their true concerns (i.e. the bottom line). (Here is a response to a “fact sheet” put out by said gas company, and some true facts.)
She said there was no opt out. It was a done deal. This smart meter is right outside our kitchen–the place where we prepare food and eat and do dishes.
So I looked up a lot of articles on EMFs and smart meters. This is a controversial subject, I’m well aware. And I am no expert; I’m still researching it. It could be that some people are more susceptible than others. Being a Highly Sensitive Person, along with my husband, it’s possible that people like us could be the “canaries in the coal mine,” reacting to danger before it’s apparent to the rest of the world because we take more into our bodies and brains than other people do.
What fries me is that we are all being subjected to a huge experiment that, if the people who feel this is a huge public health concern are right, could endanger our whole species. We are being forced to comply to something that has unproven safety. In fact, there is lots of evidence that EMFs are very damaging to human health. This 127-page report by Martin L. Pall, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry and Basic Medical Sciences, Washington State University, outlines a lot of it.
Remember how everyone thought cigarettes were not dangerous? It was an inconvenient truth that a whole industry did not want to face. Until it was forced to.
Now we are seeing a new form of EMFs being rolled out: 5G. It’s the new technology that will expose us to WAY more electormagnetic frequencies.
What’s the problem with 5G? Simply this: There are ZERO biological studies proving the safety of 5G. Also, EMF “safety” standards have not been updated since 1996, and are based on short-term exposure to ONE device.
It was interesting what happened when I posted my concerns about the smart meter being installed against my will in our neighborhood chat group.
Some people thanked me, some ridiculed me. I kept putting out the links and challenging people to investigate for themselves.
I truly want to be convinced that all these EMFs are safe. However, as I try to objectively do the research from credible sources, so far I am sadly unable to take the leap.
I encourage you to sign up for the 5G Summit and get the registration gifts, including that book by Dr. Pall, which I found rather compelling. There are suggestions as to what to do to help yourself. One thing I found to do is put this shield on the meter, which reduces the EMFs by 98%. Unfortunately, though, this is only for electric meters.
I’m not into fear-mongering; that in itself can be detrimental. But neither do I want to to close my eyes to a possible real danger. There is a proverb that says, “The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.”
I plan to keep an open mind (it’s possible that the people putting on this 5G summit are capitalizing on fear), educate myself, do all I can, and then trust God to be my ultimate shield.

Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity: Real or Imagined? Here’s a completely different take on all this. . . .
Thanks Diane. I was about to tell you about the 5G summit but I see you already know. That’s good because these are the experts on the subject. I’m in discussion with my local authority on this because they are going by the Institute of Radiological Proection and WHO guidelines, which are based on health effects of thermal radiation but in regards to wifi this is completely out of date. Up to date studies have shown health effects from non-thermal radiation, so when the government and the telecoms industry say ‘studies show no health effects’ they are using out of… Read more »
Gloria, you are so right! What I learned from my foray into our neighborhood chat group is that most people are very misinformed, and they think people like you and me are just overreacting. I’m hoping though that some will investigate further. I told them about the summit. I’ve been doing more research all weekend, and will continue. I wish I didn’t have to do all that work, but I just have a feeling that this is one of the biggest issue we will be facing. And there are so many others, too.
