Thanks-giving and Healing

Here in the U.S. we celebrate Thanksgiving at the end of November.

It has always been one of my favorite holidays. Not only do I love the food we eat (turkey, stuffing, cranberry stuff, the spiced sweet potato dish I make, and pumpkin pie). Thanks-giving has turned my life around.

Back when I was a mother of a 4-year-old and a newborn, I suffered from a post-partem depression. (The Healing Codes were not yet discovered then.)

One of the things that got me out of that depression was gratitude.

Specifically, I began to look for at least three things daily that felt like “gifts.” Three things I could be thankful for.

Usually I found more than three. In fact, I found so many that 260 of the stories ended up in the publication of my book, Abundant Gifts. (You can find out more about that at http://abundantgiftsbook.com/.)

Focusing on past “gifts” or current blessings is a great thing to do when you are doing a Healing Code. Think of any time in your life when you felt appreciative of something or someone, a time when something touched you deeply. There will be healing power in that memory.

Or focus on whatever is good in your life now.

You might even take the challenge to write down at least 3 things for which you are grateful for each day. I can almost guarantee that it will change things for you.
