When Healing Began
ByThere is a specific point in history which, I believe, was the genesis of the possibility of all true, lasting healing.
As I write this, I, along with millions of people from around the world, commemorate a particular weekend in history.
I am referring to when Reality changed in a fundamental way.
When the Light that is the Source of all things absorbed darkness, and then conquered it.
“In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. He was in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (John 1:1-5)
It turns out the Light was not just a force, but a Person. A Person who was born at a particular time, in a particular place, of a particular race. A Person who lived for 33 years, had a public ministry for 3 years, and fulfilled the mission he came to accomplish in 3 days.
Two events accomplished everything the Word, the Light, the Son of God (for such was his identity–he was a Son in relationship to the Father, his identity was in the relationship) set out to do.
He had one mission–to die. This was his calling, and he did not shrink from it. The historical records of his life, the Gospels, spell out very clearly that his crucifixion did not catch him by surprise. Though at the last minute he begged the Father to provide another way, there was no other way, and he accepted that.
His death had one purpose: “It was our sicknesses he carried; it was our diseases that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for his own sins! But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we are healed! All of us have strayed like sheep. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all.” (Isaiah 53:4-6)
This healing is not just for the next life, but for NOW. When Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, he absorbed all our sins, all our sicknesses, upon himself.
That’s not the end of the story, either. Because he not only absorbed our darkness and died in our place, he rose from the dead and thus, conquered death and everything that leads up to death–sin, brokenness, illness.
This isn’t just religious dogma. If Jesus really did rise from the dead (and there is much historical evidence that he did, including the many eye-witnesses of the resurrection who gave up their lives rather than deny the amazing news they knew to be true)–if this is true, then it is quite the monumental event of history.
It is in a category by itself. A human being rising from the dead–a human being who claimed also to be God!
In dying, he took on the penalty (consequence) for our not-choosing-grace, our rejection of Reality.
In rising, he changed everything.
Now we can be healed. We can come to that cross, and ask for the Great Exchange to take place.
Our brokenness for his healing.
That is grace. That is the underlying power that makes The Healing Codes or any other healing modality work. Reality was changed 2000 years ago.
And we don’t ever have to remain the same. We don’t have to remain in twisted reality, in darkness.
Step into the Light, and be healed.
More than that, be transformed.

Love your site and the healing codes. But does this mean that only "Christians" will be healed? I have a hard job believing this. I believe Jesus walked the earth and was a great Man, but so was the Buddha, Ghandi, Mohammed etc. God loves everyone, regardless of race, sex or religion, or so we are taught. I do not believe that the only way to eternal life is through Christianity. After all, the Bible was written by man, and it contains many contradictions.
Doreen, Thanks–glad you like my site! The Healing Code will work on anyone, because it uses principles God built into creation. As to your other comments, I can’t go into detail here. But something to think about perhaps: If you believe there really was a man named Jesus Christ who walked the earth, wouldn’t it make sense to look into who He said He was? Not to mention the eye witnesses who ended up giving up their lives rather than deny what they knew to be true: that Jesus was killed on a cross, but then was resurrected and seen… Read more »
The complete work of salvation. The act of Grace made available to all who reach out in faith. The Word of God made flesh. I have always found your mails in tune to my beliefs. Thanks for all your mails. They’ve always encouraged me.
Sylvia,
Thanks for the encouragement!
He is risen, indeed! Thank you, Diane.
Diane,
Thank you about the ESV Bible e-mail you just sent me. However, I am not getting the above reference for John 1: 1-5 to match up with ESV. I really like whatever version you used.
Glorious Resurrection Sunday!
Jane
Jane,
Looks like the version I quote in the post is the New Living Translation (NLT).
This is so lovely Diane. A blessed tribute to a most Holy and Divine Spirit. My Spirit Guide, Mentor and Love Light! I reflect on the many times Jesus gave me his strength while moving through my own suffering, my Grace my God!
Thank you, Diane, for your true words.
He cried, "It is finished!" It is completed.
He did it all, then on the cross. The gap to God, unbridgeable from the human side, has been bridged by Jesus Himself.
Thanks Diane,
profound & powerful, like you! I am reading Beyond Willpower now. Thanks for all you do.
God Bless
Jesus said: "I am the Alpha & the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I am the Resurrect & the Life. Anyone who believes in me shall have life. Those who believe in me shall not die. Those who believes in me shall see the Glory of God. And Blessed are those who didn't see, yet believe." When I remember these verse, I am not afraid of anything because I know that He has risen and is with me.
We all face challenges in our lifes. Sometimes we feel we're victems to our circumstances. And then we suffer. But when we ask God to shine His Light on the challenge we see it as a gift as we grow throught the experience. In other words we expand our conscienceness, and the healing takes place. Thank you Jesus, for you showed us the way.
I am such a weakling, but praise God, Jesus is strong, even His death on a cruel Roman cross. He will walk with me and each of us through anything. Thank you, Jesus.
Good food for the soul! Thank you!!
Diane–How masterfully phrased. "I bow my knees and cry 'Holy' to the Son of God"
Luanne
Thank you, Diane for bravely stating what I believe, also! We will be more under attack for facilitating God's healing, as time goes on.
Thank God for His grace! As a Christian Life Coach, I really only guide people to their healing (through the Healing Code, now with more expediency) in our sessions together.
Just one of the wonderful elements of the Healing Code is that I don't have to be traumatized (along with the client) when doing healing!
God is good, all the time! We naturally think about it more nearing Resurrection Sunday.
Love in Christ, Charline
I contemplate the cross and its power as I let go of all I cannot hold. His death is not the end. How much more is that true of my infirmities? They are to be walked through, not owned, not to define. We view things wrong. The cross is the payment for all healing in Christ.
Thank you for sharing, and thank God for giving us hope and healing!
Just wonderfu! I never tire of hearing this, no matter the day, week, or month of the year. This
lone God-man, and His acceptance of the cross, fulfilled the Father's requirement, and established our freedom and wholeness for eternity. Thanks.
Diane,
Perfect timing for this message, Easter weekend!
He is Risen!
He is risen indeed!
Therein is the source of hope.
